29 years in Korea. 30th in the U.S.

I moved to the U.S. at 30 to start a new chapter in life. Starting over in a new environment taught me to stay curious, adapt quickly, and look at familiar problems from new perspectives.

How I work

I’m drawn to problems where business rules, operational constraints, and user needs collide. The common thread across my work isn’t the industry, it’s the complexity. I enjoy turning that complexity into clear, usable products by working closely with product, engineering, and business teams.

Over 4+ years, I’ve designed across B2B, B2C, and D2C products, from SaaS, web apps, and native apps to complex enterprise systems. My work has spanned healthcare, commerce, AI, cybersecurity, car-life ecosystem, intelligent ship monitoring, and education, with a consistent focus on making complex systems easier to understand, easier to use, and more valuable to the business.

How I use AI

AI is part of how I work, not to replace judgment, but to move faster and think more broadly.

Research & Validation

ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini help me quickly cross-check regional and industry-specific regulations, turning a multi-day compliance review into a same-day gut check before I commit design direction.

Prototyping

Figma Make helps me explore multiple structural directions for complex, nested UI flows in hours instead of days. I still design the interaction logic myself, but it removes the friction of testing "what if" layouts early.

Outside of work

Photography and painting help me stay observant, a habit I bring back to my design work.
